Greetings Families!
Halloween is here! Tomorrow Elmer School will celebrate Halloween with our traditional parade and party. The festivities will begin at 1:45. If you would like to come in and help get ready for the parade, feel free to come at about 1:15. THANKS so much!
In Reading we are still working on "The Enormous Turnip". The focus skill for this story is sequence - what is the order of events in the story? Our phonograms -ack, and -ock are in the Spelling words and in Grammar we are still looking at the naming and telling parts of sentences. We will begin a study of Nouns, as well. Please practice this with your child. You can use the Language Handbook and/or the Harcourt link at our class page. The tests will be NEXT Wednesday, Nov. 5.
In Math we are studying place value with a review of money. Keep practicing the facts as well! THANKS!
